Here's the piece in it's raw form. There are no drop shadows, no blending mode changes, all color, and everything is at 100% opacity. I just thought it'd be interesting to show you what this looked like... plus it's nice to see the wonderful colors of the butterflies (these are all natural colors; I didn't do anything to enhance them.) It was a difficult decision to mute, or get rid of all-together, the vibrant colors of the butterflies. I took the time to choose the ones that complimented the piece w/ their color, only to make them a black-&-white image... these are the type of decisions that an artist has to make. I have no regrets w/ the final piece... this is art; the raw image is simply a colorful picture. |
